About Us

Middletown Animal Clinic was established in 1970 at it's current location on historic Main Street. We are a small animal practice that focuses on personal care, quality medicine, reasonable fees, and an enjoyable experience for our clients. We look forward to providing great service for you and your pets! History Middletown Animal Clinic was established in 1970 by Dr. Benjamin Stallard at its current location. In February 1992, the practice was purchased by the current owners, Dr Greg Bishop and Dr Steve Koehler. Their relationship began in 1981 when Dr Bishop became a veterinary assistant to Dr Koehler at a practice in East Louisville. After graduating from veterinary college, Dr Bishop returned to Louisville to practice. In 1991, Drs Bishop and Koehler reconnected and began their journey to become partners in owning their own practice, culminating in the purchase of Middletown Animal Clinic. Starting out with only one veterinarian and three part time employees, Middletown Animal Clinic now employs 3 veterinarians, 6 full time, and 5 part time employees. The employees have a combined experience of 57 years! Additionally, over the years 8 employees have been accepted into veterinary colleges, including the present staff veterinarian Dr. Amanda Fowler Brown.
